It's also suitable for jogging but you must wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old to do this.
Ickle Bubba XL Air
This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. The travel system includes a carrycot that is flat for infants as well as a multi-position rear and forward facing seat for the pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to see why it has received praise from customers. It is incredibly lightweight - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg. It's also very easy to assemble. I was able get it up and running in just five minutes. That's amazing considering that it includes the fabric for the carrycot to be attached.
It has a nice wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months old) and the recline lever is easy to use. There's plenty of room inside the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it has a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so you can keep your keys and phone safe!
The handlebar is a bit low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered with a soft, comfy leather-like material, which is easy to clean.
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is designed for parents who love to explore and are always on the go. The large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on field and forest trails, and the front 3 wheel stroller with seat can be rotated and locked for extra versatility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness as well as a front bar to ensure your child is safe on all trips and the parking brake reliably prevents the stroller from moving even when you rest. The comfortable seat is simple to adjust down to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy opens up netting for optimum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate the needs of dad or mum.
The Runner will accompany you on any adventure, whether it's a quick jog, a longer hike or a long-distance trek. Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the affordable British brand. They are known for their clean, well-designed products that are essential for parents. It's their latest and most expensive addition to the budget-friendly stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat-compatible, so it can be used from birth.
The new Pace has some fantastic design features such as a rose-gold shade on the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which really make it stand out. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are elegant and there is an option to add an coordinating leather cover handle and bumper bar, too.
The stroller seat is used from birth up to a maximum weight of 22kg. It converts easily into a reversible 2-in-1 position, either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat comes with several lie-back positions, plus comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and a retractable visor.
When folded, the Pace measures up at 56 32 x 43 cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among other carriers. It's also simple to fold down, using two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side that you can click into and pop up.
Bugaboo Fox 5,
Created to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller, Bugaboo's newest Fox 5 promises to do everything. I tested it with my two kids eight weeks old and a toddler - on rocky pavements along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.
The wheels that are puncture-proof are large - 22cm and 30cm - so they can cope with all kinds of terrain. The wheels come with a flap that can be opened or closed to let air in when needed. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you push it over bumpy surfaces.
The fabric of the seat can be machine washed and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I was comfortable using it in busy urban streets. It comes with accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags or snack trays, and even snack trays. The hood can be used to block the elements of wind and rain, but it's not waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) which allows your child more legroom. The bassinet took about 20 minutes to put together and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.
