The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with the release of a Mulsanne special edition. It pays homage to the company's founding father, W.O. Bentley includes a part from one of his cars.
The special model which is available on a long-wheelbase or regular-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. The 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. The influence of the car can be seen throughout the cabin, including a Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet that has an opening window that shows an original crankshaft from the 8 Litre display inside.
Other highlights include a chrome application that runs across the back of the car, which has an air vent that is photoetched which incorporates W.O. The front grille is patterned following 1930s-inspired Onyx and there's also an optional chrome-colored application on the lower spoilers to the left and right. The front grille is unique, sporting the chrome-colored shell instead of the normal body-colored mesh, which is typical of the standard Mulsanne and including the Flying B logo as well.
The key box is decorated with Bentley wings and comes with the lining of black flock. Key pouches can be purchased to match or contrast the key box. The set commemorative includes the scale model in 1:18 and the flying “B” paperweight. It also contains an illustrated booklet that features never-before seen images of the original 1930s Bentley 8 Litre.
