A screaming students clawed at his head and tried to 'rip his face off' after taking a party drug, it was reported today.

He was taken to hospital and put on a ventilator after frantic friends called the emergency services.

Tom Bellmont, 20, refused to let anyone near him when he went berserk at flats in Marketgate, Bristol, at around 2am.

After being subdued by the medics, the music student, from Newbury, Berkshire, was treated at Bristol Royal Infirmary and released on Friday.
