A group of six women who racked up a £140 bill at a country pub stuck two fingers up at staff when they tried to stop them leaving without paying.

The women, who had young children with them, fled after enjoying a carvery at the Wheelbarrow Castle in Worcestershire.

Owner Sarah Hutchins - who shared images of the group on Facebook in a bid to track them down - said they 'did not give a monkeys'.

She said the pub was now having to make up the losses after the 'dine and dash' last Saturday, at around 5pm.

The group left in two separate cars and allegedly made rude gestures to staff who chased after them when they realised what was happening.

The Wheelbarrow Castle is the latest to fall victim to so call 'dine and dash' scammers. Businesses up and down the country have been targeted with owners of independent eateries saying they cannot afford to absorb the cost.
