The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade item is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the Best item upgrade equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
