Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Items that are upgraded are components that can be put into armor, weapons or trinkets to offer an added benefit. They usually come at more cost and require that the item be at a certain level.
Items that have very high requirements usually don't have any value in upgrading. This is especially relevant for items such as eth Titans that don't have a lot variance.
Glyphs
After level 50 in Diablo 4, Blizzard's action-RPG takes a turn from its streamlined campaign into the endgame. This is when things really begin to change, as players are forced into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds to ensure that their class build is as strong as possible.
Glyphs are an essential component to this progression. A higher upgrade items level for a Glyph boosts its stats and the radius of its effect on the Paragon Board. There are a handful of ways to gain these upgrades, but most players will be relying on the primary method of raiding Faction Crypts.
Glyphs allows you to insert symbols into your text. You can select them from the menu at the left of the screen. The panel initially displays glyphs in the font in which your cursor is, but you can view a different font or type style, and reduce the number of glyphs to a specific subset by selecting an option from the options below the Entire Font (for instance Punctuation displays only punctuation symbols). By moving your pointer over any glyph, you'll be able to see its CID/GID and Unicode value in a tool tip.
The Glyphs Panel will keep the track of your last 35 glyphs and display them under Recently Used in the first row (you have to expand the panel so you can see all 35). You can also clear this list by right-clicking or Control-clicking a symbol in the list and choosing Remove From Recent Glyphs.
Another feature of the Glyphs panel is that it permits you to create and edit an individual glyph set which is beneficial when you need to type certain types of text often. This will prevent you from having to manually insert every glyph every time you require it.
A custom glyph may have up to 30 glyphs. This includes both the base name as well as its suffix. The base name must include uppercase English alphabetic letters (A-Z), lowcase English alphabetic letters (a-z), European numbers (0-9) as well as underscore (_) and other glyphs. The glyphs of the suffix could include ligatures or contextual alternates, which are special variants that combine two or more characters into a single visually unifying character.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the main mechanics that provide extra bonuses to items, including stats. They are available in three distinct kinds: rerolling, recycling and leveling up. Each kind of upgrade item comes with its own set of extra bonuses to an item.

This can be beneficial if an item's fully upgraded (or “potential”) power is less than what the player would like, or if the Best item upgrade's current substats are not ideal.
Rerolling is a cost of 1 token and will reset the item's upgrades however it will keep the rarity, set, and level intact. The higher a level of an item level upgrade is the increase in its tier, and with each tier, the primary stat is increased by +3, and an additional stat that is random is added to it. The tier of an item increases by 1 each time you level an item upgrader mod to the highest achievable level.
The Blueprint Desk is a tool that lets players purchase new appliances, ingredients and Decorations for their restaurants. Blueprints are given at the start of each Preparation Phase and appear as envelopes that can be opened by pressing the Grab. Each blueprint is branded with a distinct icon, with each type of upgradable item displaying various icons:
Choosing a franchise card from the Blueprint Desk will allow you to purchase certain equipment or ingredients needed for certain recipes. Some Appliances and Ingredients are considered to be staples, which means that they will never be available at the Shop or through a reroll, whereas others have a higher likelihood of appearing if a certain Franchise Card is picked from the Blueprint Desk. This is called the Staple Pool, and the items contained in it will remain in the pool for the duration of the run. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.
Recycled Items
The magic happens with the third “R,” recycling. You can help the environment by recycling a product that is made of recycled materials. The majority of recycled items are sent back to their original manufacturer to be remanufactured as an entirely new product. We call this “closing of the loop of recycling.”
If someone places something in their recycling bins at the curb, it is sent to a Materials Recovery Facility where it is separated and sorting. Then, it can be sold to end-user manufacturers to be remade into something completely new. Items that are usually made into new products are:
This reduces the need to harvest, grow or extract raw materials to make something other than. In turn, this decreases the amount of damage that is done to the natural world; fewer trees are removed and rivers diverted, and wild animals are relocated. It also reduces the amount of pollution that is caused by dumping substances into our water, soil and the air.
As an added bonus Recycling products keep local businesses and jobs alive, especially those that specialize in making goods using recycled materials. This is because demand for these products encourages companies to participate in this environmentally healthy initiative.
The final reason to purchase recycled is that it requires less energy to produce new items from recycled material than it does to create them out of raw materials. The manufacturing process for a new aluminum container requires 95% more power than the manufacturing of a can made from recycled material. This is why every little bit is important.
Leveling
Most units can be upgraded and gain XP every time they attack or are attacked. This XP can be used to increase the primary stat of the unit or unlock other improvements on the unit's development tree. Weapons are a great example, as they can improve their level and increase their damage and range.

Leveling is done by spending either coins or resources. The majority of systems employ both to boost the level of an item, however certain systems only employ one or the other.
In many games, leveling up can be a problem because it makes certain units too powerful while other units aren't able to compete. It is better to limit the amount of leveling a player can do, requiring them to make a choice about what they want to upgrade and the reasons behind it.
